Jadeja could be heard saying, ‘Nahi jaa raha hai itna’ (Not going through that easily). To which Rohit Sharma replied “Bhai teen ball hai slip lele kya pata nikal jaye’ (Brother take a slip who knows you might get one). KL Rahul behind the stumps could be heard saying “Ek baal ghuma hai bas ab tak” (Just one ball has turned so far).

It was at this point that Jadeja said, “Aap dono baatien karo, Tab tak teen ball dal leta hu” (You guys keep speaking by then I will bowl those three deliveries). The 36-year-old has been known to complete his overs in quick time. The conversation didn’t miss the eagle of the broadcasters making it a hilarious moment.

Virat Kohli’s fifty keeps India afloat in tough run chase

Former India skipper Virat Kohli scored an important half-century in the game agains Australia. India had earlier lost Shubman Gill for eight runs and Rohit Sharma for 28 runs. Ben Dwarshuis got the key wicket of Gill followed by Cooper Connolly dismissing the Indian skipper.

Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli then added 91 runs for the third wicket in 111 balls. Iyer and Kohli hit boundaries at regular intervals and kept running well between the wickets. That stand ended when Adam Zampa’s quicker ball beat Iyer’s bat and castled him. India’s number four batter was out for 45 runs from 62 balls with three hits to the fence.

Earlier in the day, Jadeja was given a talking to by umpire Richard Illingworth while bowling. Umpire asked the veteran star to remove the taping that was present in his bowling arm. This was followed by a moment where Jadeja trying to field the ball got into a tangle with Labuschagne which didn’t impress skipper Steve Smith.
