WATCH: Virat Kohli in cheerful mood ahead of Champions Trophy clash against Bangladesh

Virat Kohli, star of Team India, was in a happy mood during the training session, enjoying himself with his teammates before their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against Bangladesh. UAE will be the host for India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, as the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan.

Rohit Sharma and Co. will kick off their campaign against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Stadium. Kohli seemed cheerful during the practice session for Team India before their opening match. It is encouraging to see that he is at ease despite the external strain. When the whole team gathered in a huddle to talk, Kohli was seen pulling a prank and having fun with Shubman Gill.

Gill's knees were pushed ahead by Kohli. The opener for India was caught off guard since he had not anticipated it. Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja burst out laughing. This demonstrates a bond among team members.

Meanwhile, considering their track record against Bangladesh, India is unquestionably the clear favourite in this. With Shakib-al-Hasan gone, Bangladesh will also find it hard to exert pressure on India.

India and Bangladesh record in ODI

There have been 41 ODI matches between the two Asian cricketing titans. With eight losses and 32 wins, the Men in Blue are in a strong position compared to the Bangla Tigers.

After winning the T20 World Cup the previous year, Sharma and Kohli have both had a terrible run. In Test matches against Australia and New Zealand, the two batsmen, whom India has always relied on, performed poorly. During the ODI series against England, Kohli scored a fifty and Sharma scored an incredible century, which will have boosted their confidence for the big ICC event.
