Rohit Sharma-led India created history with an iconic title win in the Champions Trophy 2025, beating New Zealand in the final by a 4-wicket margin to clinch their third Champions Trophy title. The Men in Blue were seen in the ecstatic celebrations following the historic third title win in the tournament’s history.

Meanwhile, the former India skipper and the modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli, was seen turning into a teenager during the title-win celebrations. During the photo session of Team India with the trophy, Kohli came behind Rishabh Pant and showered the champagne on the latter and kept it showering till the bottle got empty.

Speaking of Virat Kohli’s performances in the just-concluded Champions Trophy 2025, he was one of the ‘top performers with the bat’ for India in the prestigious cricket quadrennial. Kohli finished as the second-leading run-scorer for his side in the tournament. He scored 218 in five innings, including an unbeaten appearance, hitting a century and a half-century.

Kohli averaged 54.50, including his match-winning unbeaten century against the arch-rivals Pakistan in the team’s second match in the tournament’s league stage.

Speaking of India’s performance in the final, skipper Rohit Sharma played a decisive and match-winning captaincy knock of 76 runs off 83 balls, with seven fours and three sixes. He also stitched an impactful 105-run opening partnership with his deputy and star opener Shubman Gill.

Furthermore, on the backs of 48 and 34 runs scored by Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, India comfortably chased down the target of 252 runs in 49 overs, scoring 254 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and won the final by 4 wickets to clinch the title.
