Rajasthan Royals defeated the Chennai Super Kings by a margin of 6 wickets in the 62nd match of the ongoing IPL 2025. The game was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday. Apart from RR’s win, what attracted the eyeballs was a heartfelt gesture from the teenage talent Vaibhav Suryavanshi while meeting CSK skipper and legendary wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni.

During the post-match handshakes, Suryavanshi was seen touching the feet to take Dhoni’s blessings. The video of this heartfelt moment immediately went viral on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).

Rajasthan Royals exit with a consolation win

Speaking of the action of the game between CSK and RR, the Royals’ skipper, Sanju Samson, won the toss and asked CSK to bat first. Batting first, the yellow outfits posted a total of 187 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Ayush Mhatre scored 43 runs off just 20 balls, with eight fours and a six, followed by Dewald Brevis’ 42 runs off just 25 balls, with two fours and a six.

Later in the innings, Shivam Dube also scored 42 runs off 32 balls, with two fours and two sixes. Yudhvir Singh and Akash Madhwal scalped 3 wickets each for RR in the first innings. Besides these two, Tushar Deshpande and Wanindu Hasaranga also claimed a wicket each.

While chasing the target, RR chased down the target in just 17.1 overs, scoring 188 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 57 runs off 33 balls, with four fours and four sixes, alongside skipper Sanju Samson’s 41 runs off 31 balls, with three fours and two sixes. Earlier in the innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal also smashed 36 runs off just 19 balls, with five fours and two sixes.

Akash Madhwal won the ‘Player of the Match’ for his match-winning bowling performance (3 wickets at just 29 runs in his four overs).
