Mumbai Indians (MI) bowlers ran through the Rajasthan Royals (RR) batting unit in the IPL 2025 game at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Veteran seamer Trent Boult was given the second over of the game and Yashasvi Jaiswal welcomed his former teammate with a massive six. The left-handed batter ran down the track and hit Boult over covers for a massive sixes.
Two balls later, Jaiswal hit Boult for the second six off the over the long-in region. RR had made a great start to their innings in chase of the massive 218-run target set by Mumbai Indians. Trent Boult had the last laugh when he pitched the ball on the good length and Jaiswal tried to heave the ball to the leg side and was bowled.
Once the batter was dismissed Boult was animated and gave Jaiswal a little send off. This was also the 300th wicket for Boult in his long and illustrious T20 career. Earlier in the MI were inserted into bat first and scored 217 from their 20 overs for the loss of two wickets. Ryan Rickelton (61) and Rohit Sharma (53) gave MI great start before Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya (48* off 23 balls each) helped Mumbai end their innings on a high.

Young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi who scored a 35-ball century in the last game was out for a duck. The left-handed batter went for a huge hit off Deepak Chahar and was caught by Will Jacks. The 14-yar-old took some time to go off the field as the fans were left stunned after his dismissal.
Riyan Parag welcomed Trent Boult for his second over with two successive fours in the first two balls of the over. Nitish Rana hit the third boundary of the over and was out in the final ball of the over caught by Tilak Varma just inches off the boundary rope. Nitish Rana was out after scoring nine runs from 11 balls with two fours.
Jasprit Bumrah was introduced into the attack in the fifth over and the 31-year-old made immediate impact. In the fourth ball of his first over, Bumrah had Riyan Parag caught by Rohit Sharma off a short ball for 16 runs from eight balls. In the very next ball Shimron Hetmyer was out for a golden duck caught by Suryakumar Yadav. Impact player Shubham Dubey survived the hattrick ball and hit it for a four as RR ended their powerplay with their score reading 62 for the loss of five wickets.
