India's stunning comeback in the 1st Test match against Bangladesh will be etched in the memories of the fans for a long time. The reason to remember is the fabulous century by homeboy Ravichandran Ashwin and a brilliant half-century by Ravindra Jadeja, who made a partnership of 195 runs off 227 balls, which became the highest 7th wicket partnership of India. The iconic century hit by Ashwin was nothing less than an achievement as he attacked the bowlers from the very first over.

Interestingly, during the last over, a technical blunder happened at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai when Shakib Al Hasan's name was displayed on the on-field screen as the bowler. However, skipper Shanto decided to bring Mominul Haq to the ball the last over, but the backend team couldn't figure that out. Fans went crazy over this mishap as it's an international match, and this kind of blunder isn't acceptable.

Moreover, it was Ashwin and Jadeja's day as they truly saved India from posting an embarrassing score in the first innings. None of the top order batters except Rishabh Pant (39) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (56) could perform. India went from 34-3 to 339-6 by the end of the day. This was Ashwin's sixth hundred for India, and smashing a century in front of his father will be the highlight of the day for the star all-rounder.

This is a ground I completely love to play cricket in: Ravichandran Ashwin

A special century on the special ground made Ravichandran Ashwin's day as the player looked elated after putting in brilliant efforts on the field. He scored 102 runs off 112 balls including ten boundaries and two huge sixes. His century helped revive India's situation and get to a good total on the board. While talking about the century, Ashwin mentioned that he loves playing at the Chepauk, and performing in front of the home crowd gives him a lot of happiness.

"Always a special feeling to play in front of the home crowd. This is a ground I completely love to play cricket in. It's given me a lot of wonderful memories. The last time I got a hundred, you were the coach Ravi bhai (Ravi Shastri). It does feel special. It helps that I have come back at the back of a T20 tournament (TNPL), worked quite a bit on my batting," said Ravichandran Ashwin after the match.
