The exclusive video posted by Revsportz showed Smith feeling the pain as Labuschagne looked on with concern on his face.
The hosts are already a player down with star pace Josh Hazlewood was ruled out of the game starting on Friday. The 33-year-old suffered a side strain after the Perth Test and there are fears that Hazlewood could be ruled out of the entire series. It is expected that Scott Boland will take Hazlewood’s place in the playing XI.

Marnus Labuschagne as per reports carried by Times Now was also hit while facing Daniel Vettori. Both batters though took some time off and then resumed batting in the nets. Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith have endured a tough time with the bat this year and didn’t have a great game in Perth.
Alex Carey expects huge battle between Jasprit Bumrah and Travis Head
Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey said that the second Test match in Adelaide could witness a great battle. According to Carey both Jasprit Bumrah and Travis Head could define the game when they come face-to-face during the game starting on Friday.
Addressing the media, Carey said, “Oh, look, he's a fantastic bowler and has been for years. Our batters are world-class and always find solutions. We've analysed him, and hopefully, we can handle his first and second spells better, getting him to bowl later with an older ball. Travis's counterpunch was effective, and I trust our batters to adapt. Not just Bumrah, but their other debutants also bowled well, and we'll strategise accordingly."
Carey also said, “But I feel like, you know, for myself, Trav, Mitch. We play differently to those top four, and we try to go out there with strong intent. Whereas the top four can battle day and have done it before and and really grind teams into the ground. So, I think that's the style, as you know, the middle order. But, there's opportunities as well to absorb the pressure. We're still very confident here to win a series. Still five test matches, not four. Great opportunity now, in Adelaide."
