Spencer Johnson got rid of Jofra Archer, a tailender with a peach delivery during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Spencer Johnson got out Archer's wicket as the off-stump went for a cartwheel, resulting in the Royals losing their ninth wicket. Before being dismissed, Archer gave Rajasthan Royals a much-needed boost in the middle overs by hitting two massive sixes and 16 runs off just six deliveries.

Jofra Archer came to bat at the number nine spot for Rajasthan Royals at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Jofra Archer hit some balls around the ground as his target was to get Rajasthan Royals past 150 scores. But a 135 kmph ball from Johnson knocked the off-stump outside the crease. However, Spencer Johnson gave 42 runs in four overs and Jorfa Archer was his lone wicket.

Rajasthan Royals collapsed against spin 

Ajinkya Rahane, the captain of the KKR, invited Rajasthan Royals to bat first. Batting first Royals got a good start but suddenly found themselves in a struggle. Sanju Samson was dismissed by Vaibhav Arora, who got the breakthrough for KKR in the powerplay. But Riyan Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal formed a strong partnership. with Riyan demonstrating his intention. But Rajasthan's batting suddenly fell from 67 for 1 to 82 for 5 as the middle order of the team was destroyed by spinners Moeen Ali and Varun Chakravarthy. 

Wanindu Hasaranga was then sent to bat up the order in an attempt to try something new, but Varun swiftly ended his time at the crease. But in the end Rajasthan Royals managed to set target of 151 runs for KKR as Vaibhav Arora, Harshit Rana, Moeen Ali and Varun Chakravarthy all picked two wickets each. As a result of pressure, Rajasthan batting collapsed against spin in Guwahati.
