Having scored three runs from the first two balls of the opening over, GT saw their skipper Shubman Gill take strike against Mohammed Shami. The former GT pacer bowled a ball on the leg side and Gill didn’t need a second invitation to flick it for a massive six. The 25-year-old used his wrists to perfection and flicked the ball with ease to get the Titans fans going.

At the end of six overs, the Titans were placed at 82 for no loss. Pat Cummins who needs a win to keep SRH’s hopes alive for a place in the playoffs looked shocked at what was happening on the field. Both Sudharsan and Gill had slammed each and every bowler that was pressed into action by the SRH skipper.

Carnage began from the third over, when Shami was hit for four successive boundaries by Gill. Suddenly the home team were scoring at 12 runs per over to transfer the pressure back onto SRH as Shami went for 20 runs in his second over. Pat Cummins was hit for 17 runs in his opening over which saw Gill hit the Aussie star for two fours and a six.

Sai Sudharsan then got into the boundary scoring act as he pummeled Harshal Patel for 18 runs in his opening over. The left-handed batter hit four sweetly timed boundaries as the GT batters took full toll of the SRH bowlers rather helpful bowling.
