Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) set Mumbai Indians (MI) 144 runs to win match number 41 in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 tournament. Veteran seamer Jaydev Unadkat gave SRH their first wicket of the night in the fourth ball of the second over. The 33-year-old left-arm seamer bowled a slower ball to Ryan Rickelton and beat the batter for pace.

The left-handed batter got a thick leading edge which flew to the bowler’s left hand. Unadkat showed great awareness and grabbed the catch to dismiss MI’s opener for 11 runs from just eight balls with the help of two fours. This was the seventh time that Unadkat had taken in his IPL career.
Heinrich Klaasen and Abhinav Manohar’s 99-run stand for the sixth wicket lifted SRH out of early strife. At one stage the home team were struggling at 35 for five in the ninth over. The sixth wicket stand came in 63 balls with Klaasen top scoring with 71 off 44 balls with nine fours and two sixes. The best bowler for MI was Trent Boult who picked 4/26 from his four overs.
Rohit Sharma powers Mumbai Indian to brisk start
Former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma continued from where he left off in the game against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday night. Rickelton got the innings going with a four off Pat Cummins in the second ball of the opening which saw seven runs being scored. Rohit Sharma got into the act with a six and four in Pat Cummins’ second over.
Will Jacks came out to bat at number three spot and got going with a six off the Aussie skipper’s bowling. Rohit Sharma continued to play attacking cricket as he smashed Unadkat for a four and ended the over with his second six of the innings. That six also meant that Rohit Sharma became the leading six hitter for MI going past Kieron Pollard.
If Mumbai Indians win this game they will go to third in the table thanks to their superior run rate. Currently Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are in the third spot in the points table followed by Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the fourth spot. RCB are set to take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in a key encounter on Thursday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
