Star GT opener and skipper Shubman Gill is displaying sensational batting form against Mumbai Indians in the ongoing ninth IPL 2025 game. Gill got off to the mark with a double in the first over off Trent Boult before smashing a four on the last ball of the over.
Later in the second over, Gill executed an amazing pull shot through square leg on a short-pitched delivery on the off stump by Deepak Chahar on the second ball of the over. It was an amazing and eye-pleasing trademark shot by Shubman Gill to display his outstanding batting class.

Speaking of the current action of the game, the Gujarat Titans have scored 71 runs for no loss in just 7 overs, having Gill and Sudharsan there in the middle at individual scores of 34 runs each.
Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans are coming off a narrow 11-run defeat against Punjab Kings in their campaign opener. They are aiming to beat the five-time champions, Mumbai Indians, in this game to get off the mark with their first win in the tournament. The Titans will aim to improve their performance this season compared to their failure in the previous edition of the tournament.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians played under stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav against their arch-rivals and five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
