The history was created at Pink City Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium when Rajasthan Royals’ teenage batting prodigy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, stunned the entire cricketing world with his historic and record-shattering IPL century. He played a swashbuckling knock of 101 runs off just 38 balls, with seven fours and 11 sixes during RR’s run chase of the 210-run target.
On the back of Suryavanshi’s record-breaking century, RR had chased down the target in just 15.5 overs, scoring 212 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets.
Meanwhile, what attracted the eyeballs of the fans and caught everyone’s attention was the first reaction of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, when his son called him immediately after RR’s 8-wicket win over GT, owing to his historic century.
Vaibhav greeted his father before making him talk to an RR coaching staff official, ‘Romi sir’. Subsequently, Romi Sir asked Vaibhav’s father, “Kaisa lag rha hai? (How are you feeling),” to which Vaibhav’s father emotionally replied, “Abhi toh aisa lag rha hai jaise abhi bhi.sapna dekh rha hai (It seems like we’re still in a dream).”
The video of this interaction between Vaibhav, his father, and RR’s support staff also went viral on social media as soon as it was shared by Rajasthan Royals on their official Instagram handle.
