Pakistan didn’t break any sweat as they completely dominated the West Indies to win the Multan Test by 127 runs. Sajid Khan and Abrar Ahmed were the best bowlers for the hosts, sharing nine wickets between themselves. The best action of the day came courtesy of Salman Agha, who took a stunning catch in the slip.

The action unfolded when Abrar Ahmed bowled to Kevin Sinclair. At that stage, the visitors were placed at 123/6 in the 35th over. Sinclair saw the ball turn away sharply and take a huge edge of his bat. Salman Agha, who was the lone slip fielder, dove to his right to take a fantastic one-handed catch.

Kevin Sinclair was out for ten runs after having faced 34 balls. The batter was in complete shock at the spin the ball had produced and also the catch taken by the fielder. It was an end to the 28-run stand between Sinclair and Alick Athanaze. In the very next ball, Ahmed got the wicket of Gudakesh Motie for a golden duck.

The match was over within a few overs of Kevin Sinclair losing his wicket. Alick Athanaze was out for 55 runs when he was out LBW to Sajid Khan. The right-arm off spinner bowled 15 overs to grab his fifer and end the game with figures of 9/115. Abrar Ahmed ended the game with the wicket of Jomel Warrican bowled out for a duck.

Speaking after the game, Pakistan skipper Shan Masood said, “As long as we get 20 wickets and we're able to put in a good performance, we'll be happy with the pitches. It also helped with us adding Abrar as well. He bowled well along with Sajid and Noman. We didn't know if it was going to turn from ball one in this weather.”

West Indian skipper Kraig Brathwaite said, “We can take a lot from how Warren bowled. Was the slowest out there. He brought the batsmen forward, which was important. We allowed back-foot shots in the first inning. We also saw how Alick played. Just have to believe in ourselves.”

Sajid Khan was named man-of-the-match for his nine wickets in the game and said, “There was a good amount of turn in the pitch. Spoke to our bowling coach after the first inning. I conceded runs later in the spell. Slowed the pace down further in the second innings and controlled runs better.”
