Indian skipper Rohit Sharma showed tremendous athleticism during the 4th day of the Kanpur Test. Despite being 37 years old, Rohit pulled off an amazing one-handed catch to send back Bangladeshi batter Litton Das.
The incident in question happened in the fourth ball of the 50th over. Litton Das came charging down the track to Mohammed Siraj. The Bangladeshi seemed to be in search of quick runs. The ball was hit with good power and tried to hit it over the top of the field.
Rohit Sharma jumped up like a basketball star as he stuck his right hand out. India’s skipper then completed the catch as the rest of the Indian fielders ran to him. It was a huge wicket for India as they are looking to force a result from the game in Kanpur.

Team India picks two wickets before lunch
Earlier in the day, Jasprit Bumrah had the big wicket of Mushfiqur Rahim for 11. The former Bangladeshi skipper shouldered arms to a ball that came in sharply to castle him. It was much needed wicket for India after over two and half days were lost due to rain.
Speaking to the media, Jasprit Bumrah said, "For me, my favourite format is the Test format. I've said it before as well that I wanted to play this format and I'm doing that now. Good to get some overs under the belt and build up those overs. Number of overs we bowl in Australia will be a lot more."
India’s pace ace also said to the media that the weather wasn’t in anyone’s control, “Weather is something you're not in control of. Have to quickly adjust, use your experience. You start communicating with the others as well about the pitch and the lines and lengths."
During chat with Times of India, the former Indian bowling coach Paras Mhambrey backed Akash Deep to be picked for Border Gavaskar Trophy. The 28-year-old has been impressive during the two-match series against Bangladesh.
Mhambrey said, “Akash has done a lot of bowling in domestic cricket. He understands what needs to be done. He also relies a lot on seam movement. You need that kind of bowler in Australia who can nip it around off the seam.”
