WATCH: Jasprit Bumrah’s stunning delivery gives India first wicket on day four of Kanpur Test

After more than two and half days were lost, some action had finally taken place in Kanpur. Bright skies and sunshine welcome the teams on the 4th day as Jasprit Bumrah delivered a bowling master class during the early morning session. The 30-year-old bowled a peach of a ball to dismiss Mushfiqur Rahim. 

Having started on 107/3, Bangladesh saw off the few testing early overs. Rahim then got an inside edge off the bat to record the first boundary of the day. The very next ball, Bumrah got the ball to jag back into the batter. Rahim tried to shoulder his arms only for the ball to swing back in and clatter into the stumps.

Total of 98 overs are to be bowled across the two days of the game. Unless and until there is some miracle the game is headed towards a draw. Many fans have questioned the authorities at the Green Park Stadium having lost the entire day on Sunday. There was no rain yet the game didn’t start leaving fans angry. 

Mohammad Kaif wants Rohit Sharma to join RCB for IPL 2025

Former Indian star Mohammad Kaif made a huge statement while speaking to Star Sports India. Kaif, said to Star Sports that Rohit Sharma should join Royal Challengers Bengaluru and be named the captain of the side. 

The former India star said, “Rohit Sharma should only play as a captain. He is such a big player and recently led India to T20 World Cup win. He will surely have offers. I know because people must have been ringing him up with offers.”

“But I feel he should only take up the captaincy role in whichever franchise he goes. And Rohit Sharma should leave. He has just 2-3 years left in his IPL career, and those years should be spent as a captain because of what he can do on the field; very few people have that ability," added Mohammad Kaif. 

The ex-Indian batter also said, “RCB should take that chance, 100 per cent, by hook or by crook, they must convince him to take up captaincy. Rohit knows very well how to form an XI so RCB will have the advantage if he is picked and probably their trophy drought could also end.”
