India skipper Rohit Sharma played a brilliant knock of 76 runs off 83 balls, with seven fours and three sixes, against New Zealand in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 Final. However, skipper Sharma was dismissed in a very unfortunate ‘stump’ after getting trapped by the Kiwi all-rounder Rachin Ravindra in his spin web.

Speaking of the action of the game, India have scored 203 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 42 overs, having KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya there in the middle, with individual scores of 13 and 0 runs, respectively. Earlier in the innings, Shreyas Iyer scored a crucial 48 runs, with two fours and two sixes, following Shubman Gill’s 31 runs. Besides these two, Axar Patel also scored 29 runs, with a six and one four.

Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell have scalped 2 wickets each for New Zealand, alongside a wicket claimed by Rachin Ravindra.

Earlier in the first innings, the Blackcaps batted first and scored 251 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs. Star number four batter Daryl Mitchell scored 63 runs off 101 balls, with three fours, followed by Michael Bracewell’s 53 runs off 40 balls, with three fours and two sixes. Apart from Mitchell and Bracewell, Rachin Ravindra and Glenn Phillips also scored 37 and 34 runs, respectively.
