Kolkata Knight Riders coasted to an easy eight-wicket win in the sixth game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag, who was playing in front of his home fans, saw his side succumb to their second successive loss in the early stages of the campaign.

On the final ball of the tenth over, there was a huge appeal from RR bowlers against Quintn de Kock. The batter had tried to play a pull shot of Maheesh Theekshana and the batter was given out by the umpire. De Kock took the DRS and it was seen that the ball was missing the stumps.

Once the replays came on the big screen and the decision was reversed, the bowler and rest of the RR players were in shock. Parag could be seen walking back to his mark, shaking his head in complete disbelief. In the end, De Kock was not out on 97 and was given man of the match for his unbeaten match-winning knock.

Ajinkya Rahane expresses happiness after huge win

KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane got his first win of the IPL 2025 season. Speaking at the end of the game, Rahane said, “The first six overs we bowled really and they were one-two wickets down. The middle overs were really crucial, with two spinners and Sunil wasn't well. Moeen got his opportunity and bowled really well. You want your players to be fearless in this format; we have explosive batsmen.”

The 36-year-old also said, “Credit to our bowling unit; they're always looking for wickets. Our chat with Moeen was to pick wickets and he did that. We gave Moeen complete freedom while batting unfortunately, it didn't happen but he had a great day with the ball.”

Man of the match Quinton de Kock said, “Nice to get an opportunity and to make it count. Coming back into cricket we had 10 days of camp and practice matches so that made it pretty easy. This is only my second game here; luckily we batted second so as a keeper I got to watch the wicket and I could adjust accordingly while batting. I know the IPL is known for big scores, but I just tried to win the game for us.”
