The regulation test or the ‘gauge test’ of the bats has been one of the major highlights in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025. In the same line of events, star RR batter Riyan Parag’s bat failed the regulation test during the 32nd game of the tournament. In the same line of events, what raised eyebrows was Riyan Parag’s reaction as he started arguing with the on-field umpire after the bat failed the regulation test.

Subsequently, this unpleasant on-field incident also drew the concerning reactions from the dugout of the Rajasthan Royals, especially from the head coach Rahul Dravid.

Speaking of the current action of the game between DC and RR at the time of filling this, the visitors had scored 159 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 17.1 overs while chasing the big target of 189 runs. They now need 30 runs off 17 balls, having Nitish Rana and Dhruv Jurel there in the middle with the individual scores of 50 and 14 runs, respectively.

While batting first, the hosts, DC, posted a total of 188 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Opener Abishek Porel and the veteran wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul played the crucial knocks of 49 and 38 runs, respectively. Furthermore, the star middle-order batter Tristan Stubbs and skipper Axar Patel also contributed with amazing knocks of 34 runs each off just 18 and 14 runs, respectively.

Jofra Archer scalped 2 wickets for RR at 32 runs in his 4 overs, alongside a wicket each bagged by Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga.
