The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) registered a magnificent win over the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 15th match of the IPL 2025 at the Eden Gardens on April 3rd. Ajinkya Rahane and his men got the pitch they wanted, as the defending champions defeated the IPL 2024 runners-up by 80 runs.
In a slow turner of the Eden Gardens, the Orange Army gradually saw their hope of winning this game slip away after their horrendous performance in both innings. After an awful performance in the field, which allowed KKR to post a massive total of 200/6 in the first innings, SRH batters collapsed as they were only able to manage 120 runs before bundling out in 16.4 overs of the game.
The strong batting lineup of SRH, with the likes of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Ishan Kishan, failed as they were reduced to 9/3 early in the game. From there, Pat Cummins and his men saw the hopes of this game slipping away from their hands as the host bowler put up a great performance in the second innings of the game.
After KKR's magnificent win over SRH on April 3, KKR star Venkatesh Iyer, who chipped in 60 off 29 balls, and Rinku Singh, who also racked up 32 off 17 balls alongside coach Dwayne Bravo, burst into dance moves on viral 'Vartaman' song to celebrate their stellar win over SRH at the Eden Garden in Kolkata. The video of their dance has been widely shared on social media.

Skipper Ajinkya Rahane reflected on KKR's dominant win!
"This game was really important for us. Winning by a big margin was crucial. Even we wanted to bowl on this wicket. When we lost two early wickets, we wanted to consolidate till 6 overs - play with intent but play cricketing shots. And then when we have wickets in hand, guys down the order can get as many runs as possible. Happy with the batting unit. The last two games were not up to the mark for us. But we learned a lot from our mistakes."
