Rajat Patidar hit an insane no-look six to Shardul Thakur during the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 against Mumbai. At M Chinnaswamy stadium, the RCB batter scored an unbeaten 81*(40) which helped Madhya Pradesh to post a competitive total of 174 runs on the board after being reduced to 70/4 at one stage in the match.

In the death overs, Rajat showed an excellent acceleration. The RCB star smashed Shardul Thakur for fun in the last over. With three balls left in the over, Thakur attempted a slower bouncer. Patidar recognized it and picked the length right where he stood. The right-handed batter timed the ball and did not even have a look at it.

It was timed so well that the ball went straight to the stands. The fans in the arena went crazy for the insane shot. They chanted "RCB... RCB..." and acknowledged the efforts of the star batter. It almost felt like a home game for Patidar during his stay in the middle.

Rajat Patidar powers Madhya Pradesh to 174 runs against Mumbai in SMAT 2024 final

Rajat stepped up for Madhya Pradesh in the big match. The MP skipper entered the middle when his side was in trouble with 48/3 after 7.4 overs. His side was further reduced to 54/4 after 9 overs. In the last 11 overs, MP scored 120 runs. Rajat played a good knock for his side with little to no help at the other end.

While Venkatesh Iyer scored 17(9) and Rahul Batham scored 19(14), it was Patidar who played an exceptional knock. The middle-order batter took a bit of his time to establish his innings. After getting set, he went after the bowlers and hit them for fun.

In his stay in the middle, Patidar scored an unbeaten 81 runs in 40 balls which included 6 fours and sixes each. His knock included mighty sixes and lovely stroke-making. Fans loved his knock and gave their approval for the same. He helped MP to post a total of 174 runs on the board.
