Australia's captain, Pat Cummins, and wicketkeeper, Alex Carey, made a DRS blunder on the 3rd day of the fourth Test match, while Rishabh Pant was batting. As the day resumed with Pant and Ravindra Jadeja trying to save India from another collapse, the opponent captain was all riled up in the morning to dismiss the batters. Hence, in the 49th over, Cummins and Carey wasted the DRS for Australia by going after Pant.
While bowling his second over of the new spell on day three, Cummins bowled a back-of-a-length delivery around the off-stump which bounced a bit and went past Pant. Although the ball went without any deviation to the keeper since Pant didn't touch it, the opponent captain and keeper were convinced that the delivery came in contact with the gloves. Hence, they went for the review only to find out that it was of not-out.

Pant was batting beautifully on 28 runs when he threw his wicket away as usual. Now, Jadeja and Nitish Reddy are out there, giving tough competition to the opponents. Reddy is playing amazingly in the game, giving Jadeja much-needed company. Moreover, the ongoing BGT series has been amazing so far, filled with lots of drama and competition.
That's what happens when you have a gap: Sunil Gavaskar
Former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar has slammed Rohit Sharma for batting half-heartedly in the fourth Test match against Australia. Rohit got out playing his favorite pull shot which has attracted criticism. After a series of failures, the experts have started analyzing the skipper's captaincy tactics as well as his batting approach.
"That's a shot that he [Rohit Sharma] normally plays. The half-pull off the front foot. I think he probably got in two minds whether to go for the proper pull shot or not and then ended up just trying to tap it like catching practice. But that's what happens when you have a gap, when you're 36, 37 years old and you have a long gap between playing cricket," said Sunil Gavaskar.
