Sunrisers Hyderabad and India’s latest sensation Nitish Kumar Reddy came to life with the bat during the 2nd T20I on Wednesday. The 21-year-old all-rounder hit three massive sixes to pull India out of the hole during the game on Wednesday in New Delhi. At one stage, the home team were placed at 41/3 inside the powerplay overs. 

Mahmudullah bowled a no-ball which got India a free hit. Young Nitish Kumar Reddy promptly hit the ball over the long-on region for a huge six. The very next ball the youngster tried to reverse sweep the ball and the Bangladeshi players went up for appeal. The third umpire decided to stick with the on-field call of not out. 

In the next over, the right-handed batter hit Rishad Hossain for two sixes off two balls. The first was straight down the ground as the ball nearly hit the commentary box. The next six was hit over the midwicket region for his third six. Nitish hit his 4th wicket when he spanked Mustafizur Rahman over the long-on region yet again. 

Nitish Reddy and Rinku Singh help India come out of a hole 

Left-handed batter Rinku Singh who didn’t get to bat in the 1st game came out with a positive frame of mind. The 26-year-old began with a four off his 2nd ball to get off the mark. His first six was off Rishad Hossain as Rinku slog-swept the Bangladeshi spinner deep into the stands. 

Rishad Hossain was hit for a huge six in the last ball of the 10th over to take India past 100 runs. 24 runs were scored from the 10th over as the two teams took a drinks break after being in trouble at one stage. Nitish Kumar Reddy reached his 1st fifty for India in the T20I format with a single against Taskin Ahmed. At the time of writing, India was placed at 122/3 from 12 overs with Rinku Singh batting on 34 runs from 18 balls. 

Bangladesh had the home team in trouble as Taskin Ahmed dismissed Sanju Samson for 10 runs. Abhishek Sharma scored 15 runs from 11 balls before he was cleaned up by Tanzim Hasan Sakib. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav could score only 8 runs as he holed out to Shanto to give the Bangladeshi skipper his 2nd catch of the day.
