India and Bangladesh got down to action to play the three-match T20I series on Sunday in Gwalior. Suryakumar Yadav and his men won the game by 7 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The second game of the series will be played on Wednesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

The venue has a lot of happy memories for the visiting side. It is at the same stadium that Bangladesh beat India for the first time in a T20I game. Bangladesh had won the game by 7 wickets to take an early lead in the three-match series.

Rohit Sharma was leading team India with Virat Kohli being rested for the series. Mahmudullah was leading the visiting side as he won the toss and chose to bowl first. Interestingly, Washington Sundar is the only player from India who is still part of the 2024 series.
