In an unpleasant visual for the fans, the star LSG batter Nicholas Pooran was seen venting out his anger, throwing his pads. It happened when he lost his cool after Abdul Samad’s dismissal on the fifth ball of the last over. The moment came just two balls later after Nicholas Pooran himself was dismissed in a run-out after failing to reach the striker’s end.

SRH ends LSG's playoff hopes in IPL 2025
Speaking of the action of the game, SRH bowled first after winning the toss, and LSG posted a total of 205 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Mitchell March and Aiden Markram scored 65 and 61 runs, respectively, following Nicholas Pooran’s 45 runs off 26 balls, with six fours and a six. Eshan Malinga scalped 2 wickets for SRH in the first, alongside a wicket each picked by Harsh Dubey, Hashal Patel and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
While chasing the target, Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the total comfortably in 18.2 overs, scoring 206 runs for the loss of 4 wickets and winning the game by 6 wickets. Young opener Abhishek Sharma smashed 59 runs off just 20 balls, with four fours and six sixes, followed by the 35 and 47 runs off just 28 balls each, scored by Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen.
Later in the innings, Kamindu Mendis also scored a crucial 32 runs off just 21 balls, with three fours. Digvesh Rathi scalped 2 wickets for LSG, alongside a wicket each claimed by Will O’Rourke and Shardul Thakur.
With this 6-wicket defeat against SRH, Rishabh Pant’s LSG became the fifth team to get knocked out of the playoff race in the ongoing IPL 2025.
