The incident happened in the third ball of the tenth over when Rohit tried to loft Harpreet Brar but the timing failed the veteran batter. Nehal Wadhera, fielding near the boundary came running in and took a smart low catch at the long-on region. Rohit’s 24 runs came off 21 balls with then help of two fours and a six.

After six overs, MI were placed at 52 for 1 as Ryan Rickelton went berserk with the bat. The South African star scored 20-ball 27 before he perished in the final over of the powerplay overs. Rickelton went for a huge shot off Marco Jansen’s bowling and PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer completed an easy catch.

Kyle Jamieson was called onto bowl the ninth over and gave away 15 runs thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s blazing blade. The 34-year-old played a terrific shot over the square leg region for his first six of the game. In the next ball, Yadav hit the pacer for a crisp boundary and ended the over with the second four of the over.

Tilak Varma came out to bat at the fall of Rohit Sharma’s wicket but failed to get going as he was out for just one run. In the fifth ball of the 11th over, Vijaykumar Vyshak had Tilak Varma caught by Arshdeep to reduce Mumbai Indians to 87 for 3 with just nine overs left to play.
