Suryakumar, who is known for his jovial nature and down-to-earth personality, was seen having fun with the fans in the stands. Yadav was seen performing bhangra moves that elicited huge cheers from the fans. Video of Surya’s dance soon made its way onto social media and has since become a viral sensation.

The veteran batter was named the man of the match for his sensational unbeaten knock. Speaking to Harsha Bhogle at the end of the game, Yadav said that his wife had reminded the batter that he hadn’t won the player of the match award yet. The 34-year-old said, “My wife told me a sweet story today. She said you've got all the awards except MoM. This award is special today. From the team's point of view, the knock was important, and also this trophy is for her. She waits for such moments and we celebrate it, obviously, looking forward to it."

“Was important for a single batter to bat till the end. We knew there was one over of 15-20 runs somewhere so we had to wait till the end. The way Naman came in and shared that energy with me was also a turning point,” said Suryakumar Yadav while praising his young teammate, who scored 24 not out from eight balls.

Former India star praises SKY’s knock against DC

Harbhajan Singh called the innings played by Suryakumar Yadav against Delhi the best knock of the current season. Speaking to the host broadcasters, Harbhajan said, “A good player's sign is that he takes the game deep, and then he has so much belief in himself that if he stays till the end, which he would, he would change the complexion of the game, and we have seen Suryakumar Yadav doing that not once, but thousands of times.”

The former India legend also added, “He understood the demands of the conditions and took the game deep, and when he got a chance, he opened his arms in such a way that he took the game far away from the opposition. I feel this was the best knock of the entire season. The other innings might have come much quicker, but the bowlers were in the game in today's conditions.”
