Punjab Kings (PBKS) will host Mumbai Indians (MI) in a key Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The winner of the game will guarantee themselves a spot in the top two of the IPL 2025 points table. Former MI skipper Rohit Sharma is one of the top five run-getters against PBKS in IPL history. This year, Rohit Sharma has scored 305 runs with three half-centuries after a slow start to the campaign.

One of those fifties came at the same venue in Jaipur while playing the Rajasthan Royals. The 38-year-old had scored 53 to help his side post a huge total and win the game by a mammoth margin. With this being the final game of the league phase, MI fans will hope that their former skipper can get a huge score and help MI reach the top two in the points table. 

So far, Rohit has played 31 games against PBKS and scored 848 runs from his 30 innings. The veteran batter has also hit seven half-centuries and has been dismissed for a duck on three occasions. Rohit’s average against Punjab is 32 with a strike rate of 140. Mumbai’s former skipper has hit 78 boundaries and 39 sixes against PBKS in his IPL career.

Former MI skipper Rohit Sharma scored 70 runs against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2020 season at the Abu Dhabi Stadium. It was MI who batted first and scored 191 on the board for the loss of four wickets. Rohit smashed eight boundaries and three sixes in his knock before he was dismissed by Mohammed Shami. In the end, Mumbai Indians went on to win the game by 48 runs. PBKS scored 143 on the board for the loss of eight wickets, with Nicholas Pooran top scoring with 44.

The right-handed batter scored a memorable 76 not out in the 19th game of the season, which was played at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad. Adam Gilchrist’s side, batting first, posted 164 on the board as Rohit stayed unbeaten. The right-handed batter also hit 10 fours and two sixes for DC as Punjab went on to win the game by seven wickets.

Taking over as the captain in the middle of the 2013 season, Rohit Sharma played a memorable innings vs PBKS at the Wankhede Stadium. MI’s new skipper scored 79 runs from 39 balls with a strike-rate of 202 and hit six boundaries and six maximums in his knock. This helped MI reach 174 for the loss of three wickets. The game went down to the wire as PBKS lost by a close margin of four runs despite David Miller’s 34-ball 56.
