It’s 2025, and the years have changed, 17 IPL seasons have been played and the 18th is underway, a lot of things have changed in this period; kids born between 2001 to 2004 are now playing in IPL 2025. But what has remained constant in all these years is the Talismanic glovework of former legendary CSK skipper MS Dhoni.
In the ongoing 3rd game of the Indian Premier League 2025, Dhoni produced another day of outstanding stumping with the ‘light of speed’ behind the wickets to dismiss star MI batter Suryakumar Yadav. This ‘Dhoni stumping’ moment came on the third ball of the 11th over in the first innings when CSK’s young debutant spinner Noor Ahmed was bowling.
Noor compelled Suryakumar Yadav to come out of the crease and go for a drive; the star Afghan spinner managed to dodge SKY and the rest was done by MS Dhoni. The former skipper and the legendary wicketkeeper-batter made no mistake in whipping off the bails within the Nth fraction of a second.
The video of Dhoni’s quick lightning stumping also started making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a fan on X (formerly Twitter).
