Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj lost his cool at Marnus Labuschagne during the opening day of Adelaide Test. Australian batter pulled out at the last moment as he saw the fans bring out the beer snake just near the sightscreen. This didn’t sit down well with Siraj who angrily threw the ball and exchanged a few words with the batter.
Indian players have been vocal with Labuschagne ever since he came out to bat. Virat Kohli was told by the square-leg umpire to tone down his chatter when the batter was on strike. Harshit Rana also seemed to exchange a few words with Labuschagne during his spell.

This is not the first time the Aussie batter has been in the crosshairs of Indian bowlers. Siraj and Labuschagne had been involved in a few verbal exchanges during the opening Test match in Perth. The visitors were under pressure on the opening day in Perth after being bowled out for 180. Mitchell Starc picked his career-best figures of 6/48 to continue his amazing form with the pink ball.
Cheteshwar Pujara believes Virat Kohli will score century in Adelaide
Veteran Indian batter Cheteshwar Pujara is part of Star Sports panel as the commentator. The 36-year-old said that former India captain Virat Kohli can score a century during the second Test in Adelaide. Kohli has scored 3 centuries and one fifty at the Adelaide Oval.
Pujara during his chat on Star Sports noted “Virat Kohli will have to spend some time in the middle before going for his shots. If the top three are able to play out 30 overs, Kohli will have a chance to add another hundred in the ongoing series. He is back in form and loves batting in Adelaide. I am hoping to see him scoring a hundred in the second Test,”
The veteran Indian batter also shared an interesting story that he encountered with Australia. Pujara said “Australian players have a habit of saying something to everyone when they are fielding. I heard a lot from them but didn’t reply as it was important to concentrate on the game. Their sledging continued for the first two Tests, but they became tired after them”
The 36-year-old also said “They requested me to get out and even asked me how I can bat for a long time. Once they realised that nothing was distracting me, they went quiet,” Pujara had scored 123 runs from 246 balls during the 1st innings of the 2018 Test in Adelaide and followed it up with yet another fifty in the same game. India went onto win the game by 31 runs and take the series 2-1 with Pujara scoring 521 runs.
