A video of Mitchell Starc at the Delhi airport went viral after Starc was seen getting angry with a fan. At the airport, a fan took a picture of the speedster, most likely indicating the moment he departed the nation when the T20 league had to be halted because of border tensions between India and Pakistan.

When the fan saw Starc, he immediately began filming, but the Australian pacer warned him to "go away." Mitchell Starc was not happy when the fan attempted to get his attention during the stressful scenario. Due to air strike alerts in locations close to the border, the match versus Punjab Kings in Dharamshala was finally called off, although the experienced left-arm bowler was still present. To prepare for the World Test Championship Final, when Australia will play South Africa at Lord's beginning on June 11, he has decided to forego the rest of the IPL.

Jake Fraser-McGurk has already left the Delhi Capitals and has made the decision not to come back.   The Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman was signed by the team to replace him, but it is still unclear when he would arrive because the Bangladesh Cricket Board has not yet granted him a No Objection Certificate. Bangladesh is playing the UAE in a Twenty20 International right now in Sharjah.   The status of foreign players returning for the last IPL 2025 leg is still up in the air.

Delhi Capitals' playoffs spot in danger

Young South African player Tristan Stubbs has announced his comeback as Delhi Capitals await word on Faf du Plessis' availability. However, he will only play for the rest of the league stage if the side makes it to the playoffs.   Starc is the team's leading wicket-taker this season with 14 in 11 games, so his absence is a huge blow for Delhi. With important games against the Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians, and Punjab Kings coming up, his absence creates doubt in DC's camp as the team wants to make it into the playoffs.
