The second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh is heading down to the wire on the final day. Mir Hamza bowled a terrific ball to dismiss dangerous Bangladeshi batter Zakir Hasan for 40.

The incident happened in the 13th over’s 2 balls with Mir Hamza bowling to Zakir Hasan. Mir Hamza pitched the ball on the off-stump line as Zakir Hasan got behind the line of the ball. The ball moved away and hit the top of the off-stump as Zakir Hasan was out for 40 runs from 39 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes.

Bangladesh began the day with a score of 42/0 from 7 overs needing 143 runs more to win. Pakistan also lost Shadman Islam soon after as he was dismissed by Khurram Shahzad for 24 caught by Shan Masood.

Jason Gillespie wants Pakistan to show passion

Former Australian pacer turned Pakistan coach, Jason Gillespie had spoken to the media at the end of the day. Speaking to the media, Gillespie said, “Admittedly, the odds are probably in favour of Bangladesh”

The former Aussie pacer also said “We don't shy away from that, but we've already lost if we walk out there expecting to lose. We took 6 for 26 in the first innings so we know that we can have an impact with the ball if we bowl really well."

During the media conference, Gillespie also said, “We've spoken to our bowlers about being ruthless, being disciplined and bowling with intent, and we just went away from our game plan and I've challenged the bowlers pretty strongly on that. We need to make sure that we're on every time because Test cricket can get away from you.”

“The opposition is very good and I'm not going to shy away from saying Bangladesh played well. No question. But I know that our bowlers can do better in that situation than what they showed and we just need to make sure that execution is absolutely bang on each and every time,” Jason Gillespie said to the media to end the conference.

At the time of lunch, Bangladesh were placed at 122/2 still needing 63 runs. Skipper Najmul Shanto was batting on 33 off 68 balls with 4 boundaries. Former skipper Mominul Haque was the other batter batting on 20.
