The 21-year-old batter scored 57 runs off 29 balls, hitting two boundaries and six sixes. Out of these sixes, there was one shot which was the highlight of the game. Brevis hit a beautiful 'no-look shot' on the first ball of the 13th over. Beyers Swanepoel bowled a full length, right in the middle of the swinging arc of the batter. Brevis was smart enough to judge the ball and play it over the long-on fielder. It went straight to the crowd and the batter didn't even have a look at it.

This is the first time I've bowled for MICT in three seasons: Delona Potgieter

MI Cape Town's prolific bowler, Delona Potgieter was on fire in the first game as he contributed with the bat and claimed a fifer. His confidence was on point and that's why he was the POTM. While speaking at the post-match presentation, he opened up about how excited he was about the game since he got to play for MI after three years.

"I don't know what to say. It was lovely. I guess I'll just take it as it comes, it was lovely. This is the first time I've bowled for MICT in three seasons. I just tried to keep it simple to be honest. Just tried to hit the top of the stumps, and it was working tonight. Only came in the 18th over so I did everything I could to take the score up (with the bat)," said Potgieter.
