A horrific IPL season for Rishabh Pant

Notably, the most expensive player in IPL history, Rishabh Pant, hasn’t had an expected season with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2025. He has scored only 151 runs in 12 innings, with a dismal batting average of just 13.72 and a poor strike rate of 107.09. He was bought by LSG for a whopping amount of INR 27 crores in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Speaking of LSG’s journey in the tournament’s ongoing 18th edition, they have already been knocked out of the tournament, with six wins and seven defeats in their 13 games so far. They have earned only 12 points to their name, being in seventh spot in the tournament standings.

In the game against RCB, Rishabh Pant and Co. will aim to register a win and end their IPL 2025 journey on a winning note, alongside moving up a spot in the tournament’s points tally. In their recent five games in the tournament, LSG have faced four consecutive defeats, followed by a 33-run win against GT in the most recent game.
