Former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan recently welcomed the newest addition to his family. The 46-year-old is currently with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as the mentor. LSG are set to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their final game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Virat Kohli was seen chatting with Zaheer Khan, and the latter pulled out his phone to show Kohli his son’s pictures.

The former RCB skipper was seen intently staring at the pics, and asked India’s former pacer, who does the child resemble? As the video went on, Kohli was heard saying the newborn’s eyes were just like Zaheer Khan's. It was a wholesome moment between two players who had shared the dressing room for over five years.

Lucknow Super Giants will play their final game of the season in front of their home fans. Lucknow beat Gujarat Titans in their previous game by 33 runs to give their fans something to cheer about. RCB, on the other hand, lost their previous game against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the same venue by 42 runs.

Josh Hazlewood returns to India for IPL playoffs

Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood has joined up with RCB just ahead of the playoff matches. The 34-year-old had injured himself after playing ten games before the league was suspended. Hazlewood has been one of the best bowlers of the IPL 2025 season, having picked 18 wickets this campaign.

RCB put up a tweet announcing the rival of their star pacer to link up for the crucial phase of the season. It will be great chance for Hazlewood to also get back into prime bowling form ahead of the World Test Championship finals against South Africa. It is expected that RCB may not risk Hazlewood for the final league game of the season.

Tim David is a doubtful starter for the game against LSG on Tuesday night. The 29-year-old had injured himself on the field in the last game. David has been one of the key players for RCB this year, and his injury could hamper their lower-order. Australian batter struggled to run between the wickets and was out after scoring just one run.
