Speaking of the match between the Strikers and the Sixers, the visiting skipper Moises Henriques won the toss and asked the Strikers to bat first. Batting first, the home team posted a total of 182 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Ollie Pope played a crucial half-century knock, scoring 57 runs off 39 balls, hitting three fours and two sixes. His knock was followed by Alex Ross’ 48-run knock and Jamie Overton’s unbeaten 32 runs off just 14 balls, with three fours and a six.

While chasing the target, the Sixers’ opener and veteran batter Steve Smith smashed a blistering half-century, scoring 52 runs off just 31 balls, with two fours and four sixes. Later down the order, Lachlan Shaw’s 32 runs off 21 balls and a 30-run knock played by Ben Dwarshuis helped the Sixers to chase down the target in 19.5 overs, scoring 183 runs for the loss of 7 wickets and win the game by 3 wickets.
