Pretoria Capitals’ number 3 batter, Kyle Verreynne played an amazing unbelievable scoop shot in the game against Sunrisers Eastern Cape, the seventh clash of the ongoing SA20 2025. Verreynne came to bat for his side after they lost their first wicket in Rahmanullah Gurbaz on the last ball of the third over.
However, Verreynne’s knock didn’t last too long but his shot off Richard Gleeson’s delivery on the fifth ball of the sixth over amused everyone and left the fans awestruck.
Gleeson bowled a fuller-length delivery on the off stump, the batter sensed the length coming to him and came across the stumps to execute an outstanding and unexpected scoop shot. Eventually, this spectacular shot played by Verreynne went straight away for a maximum over the wicketkeeper’s head.
The video of this unbelievable six smashed by Kyle Verreynne attracted the eyeballs and started making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Speaking of the entire action of the game between the Eastern Cape and the Capitals, the PC skipper Rilee Rossouw won the toss and asked Aiden Markram’s men to bat first. SEC looked uncomfortable to survive against the bowling attack of the Capitals. Except for Marco Jansen’s gritty half-century in a crisis, none of the SEC batters could even cross the individual mark of 15+ runs.
Jansen scored 51 runs off 35 balls, with 4 fours and three sixes to help his side post a total of 113 runs in 19.4 overs. Daryn Dupavillon scalped 3 wickets at 32 runs in his 4-over stint, including a maiden over. Besides him, Eathan Bosch, James Neesham, and Senuran Muthusamy also claimed 2 wickets each, alongside a wicket picked by Migael Pretorius.
While chasing the target, Pretoria Capitals comfortably crossed the line in just 16 overs, scoring 115 runs for the loss of 4 wickets and winning the game by 6 wickets to add another win to their name in the tournament.
