Team India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, made a winning start to the four-match T20I series against South Africa. Sanju Samson’s century and the terrific bowling from the spinners helped India take 1-0 lead in the series on Friday after 61-run win. There was an angry exchange of words that took place when South Africa were batting.
The incident happened on the second ball of the 15th over after Gerald Coetzee took a single. Marco Jansen, who had made his way to the batters end, was seen having a word with Samson that didn’t impress India’s skipper. Suryakumar Yadav was quick to make his way to the South African star and give him a piece of his mind.

SKY came and started the verbal battle alone with Jansen and Coetzee..
saved his wicket keeper Samson..
Heated Argument happened between 3

The reason behind Jansen’s unhappiness was that Samson had gathered the ball while standing on the dangerous part of the pitch. The umpires intervened, while Coetzee could be seen having a word with Yadav as the two players went back to their positions. The minor delay led to Jansen losing his concentration and losing his wicket four balls later.
Indian spinners leave South African batters looking clueless
Skipper Aiden Markram got the chase underway with 2 sweetly timed fours. The right-handed batter then was done in by the swing of Arshdeep Singh as he was out for 8. Sanju Samson took an easy catch behind the stumps to give India a great start.
Ryan Rickelton and Tristan Stubbs then added 22 runs for the 2nd wicket in 17 balls. That stand ended when Avesh Khan had Stubbs caught by skipper Suryakumar Yadav for 11 runs.
Varun Chakravarthy then broke the back of South Africa’s batting with 3 huge wickets. The 33-year-old first had Rickelton caught by Tilak Varma for 21. This was followed by the huge wicket of Heinrich Klaasen for 25 off 22 balls. David Miller became the third wicket for Chakravarthy caught by Avesh Khan for 18.
Ravi Bishnoi then joined in the act as he got the wicket of Patrick Kruger for 1 and Andile Simelane for 6 in the same over. The 24-year-old also dismissed Jansen for 12 caught by Hardik Pandya just a ball after the catch was dropped by the same fielder.
Gerald Coetzee scored 23 off 11 balls with 3 sixes but a direct hit by Yadav ended his little cameo. That was it for the hosts as they succumbed to the Indian spinners with Chakravarthy and Bishnoi picking 3 wickets each. The win came when Avesh bowled Maharaj for 5 runs as India won by 61 runs.
