WATCH: Kyle Mayers' out of park six with a subtle flick on left side stuns crowd in CPL 2024

In the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024, Kyle Mayers stunned the crowd with his mind-blowing six on the leg side. Not just the crowd, but he also surprised the bowler with the clean hit. Playing against the Trinbaho Knight Riders, on the very first ball of his arrival, Mayers pulled off a huge six on a fuller ball of Joshua Little and deposited it over the deep square leg. Even though he started his innings on a great note, converting it wasn't possible for him as he got dismissed by Joshua Little on the 3rd ball. 

However, he was dismissed at the same position where he hit a six. Little's bowling plan worked as he trapped the batter with a back-of-the-length delivery. Mayers went on to hit it at the deep square leg, but the ball went low and straight to the fielder. It was a disappointing outing for the batter as he had different plans.

This needed a fiery start in the 2nd innings because the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots were chasing down a target of 251 runs in 20 overs. As crazy as it sounds Nicholas Pooran of Knight Riders made this happen by scoring 97 runs off 43 balls, including seven boundaries and nine sixes. Moreover, Keacy Carty also scored 73 runs off 35 balls. Hence, the Riders could reach 250 runs easily. 

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots' failed batting attempt cost match

The St Kitts and Nevis Patriots bowlers were extremely disappointing but the batters had a chance to revive the game and change it around themselves. However, skipper and opener, Andre Fletcher was out on a duck and Mayers went for just six runs.

While Mikyle Louis, Tristan Stubbs and Evin Lewis tried their best to win the game they could reach only up to 206 runs. All the other batters didn't contribute much due to which chasing such a huge target became impossible. Hence, the Patriots lost the game by 44 runs. This loss will hurt them for a long time since they won their first game in style.
