India skipper Rohit Sharma is known for his funny remarks that are usually caught by the stump mic during the matches. These moments never fail to entertain the fans as soon the videos go viral on social media in which Rohit Sharma can be seen scolding or advising his teammates.

A similar incident took place in the just-concluded India vs Bangladesh super-8 stage at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua. It happened when Kuldeep Yadav was bowling and took a wicket before skipper Rohit Sharma came up with an aggressive piece of advice for him.

“Kya kar raha hain yaar, aada marne de na. Abhi abhi aaya hain ye, ek abhi gaya aada maar ke, isko bhi maarne de na (what you doing, let him sweep. One just got out while sweeping, let him sweep too),” said Rohit Sharma as he was caught by stump mic.

The video of this moment is also making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).

The Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hasan Shanto won the toss and asked India to bat first; batting first, India posted a big total of 196 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya scored a crucial half-century, scoring 50 runs off just 27 balls, with 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Besides him, former skipper Virat Kohli and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant scored 37 and 36 runs, respectively followed by Shivam Dube’s 34 runs off 24 balls, with 3 sixes. Skipper Rohit Sharma also scored quick 23 runs off just 11 balls, with 3 fours and a six.

Later in the second innings, Bangladesh were restricted to the score of only 146 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the entire 20 overs and lost the match by 50 runs. India all-rounder Hardik Pandya won the ‘Player of the Match award for his all-round performance.
