Making and breaking records has become quite easy for India's most-loved cricketer, Rishabh Pant. After recovering from a life-threatening accident, Pant has come a long way. He's not only playing cricket and representing India in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 but is also breaking records of legendary players. Recently, in the match against Afghanistan, Pant took three valuable catches of Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Gulbadin Naib, and Naveen ul Haq, which brought his total number of catches to 10 in the tournament.

With this, he became the record holder for most dismissals in a single edition of the T20 World Cup, surpassing legendary players like AB de Villiers, Adam Gilchrist, and Kumar Sangakkara. Moreover, they have nine dismissals under their name in a single tournament, which is quite impressive.

Currently, Pant has scored 116 runs from four innings, with an impressive average of 38.66 and a strike rate of 131.81. He is leading the Indian batting order as he has been consistent in all the games. He is also promoted to bat at No. 3 and is also given the freedom to play his natural game, giving mini-heart attacks to the fans with his risky but rewarding shots. Interestingly, his confidence and skills allow him to play such risky shots that a normal batter wouldn't even dare to play.

India vs Bangladesh scheduled on June 22

India is on to their next task after winning the first match against Afghanistan in the Super 8. This time, on June 22, India will be playing against Bangladesh. Just like the Men in Blue, this is also Bangladesh's second game. However, they lost their first game against Australia, and this match became extremely important for them.

If Bangladesh loses this match, they'll be out of the semi-final reach. On the other hand, this game is equally important for India as well, as their last match is against Australia, and nobody knows what will happen in that particular game. The contest will become interesting since it's a vital match for both teams.
