Gujarat Titans defeated the Delhi Capitals by a huge margin of 10 wickets in the 60th game of the ongoing IPL 2025. The GT openers, Sai Sudharsan and skipper Shubman Gill, completely outmuscled the DC bowling attack in the second innings, chasing down the target of 200 runs in just 19 overs, scoring 205 runs for no loss.
Meanwhile, what attracted the eyeballs and caught the attention of the fans was a controversial LBW decision from the umpire that left DC spinner Kuldeep Yadav in anger. It happened when Kuldeep trapped GT opener Sai Sudharsan in an LBW, but the appeal was denied by the on-field umpire. Subsequently, DC took DRS to challenge the umpire’s decision.
The DRS display showed that almost 50 per cent of the ball was hitting the stumps, so the third umpire upheld the on-field umpire’s decision and the batter was given not-out. It didn’t go down well with the star DC spinner Kuldeep Yadav, and he was seen getting involved in a heated argument with the on-field umpire.
The video of Kuldeep Yadav expressing his frustration and dissent to the umpire’s decision also went viral on social media as soon as it was shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter).
Here’s the video:
if an on-field umpire had given a batter not out for an LBW appeal, the DRS projection should show more than 50 percent of the ball hitting the stumps for the third umpire to overturn the original call. #umpirescall#Kuldeep#IPL#Cricket#DelhiCapitals#KLRahulhttps://t.co/tgehP9coeZ
