WATCH: ‘Mark my words…’ - AB de Villiers’ special pledge if RCB wins the IPL 2025 title

In what seems to be a big and exciting piece of news for the RCB fans, the former RCB star and the former Proteas legend AB de Villiers came up with a special pledge. The Proteas' great, famously known as ‘Mr 360’, took a special pledge if RCB win the ongoing IPL 2025 and lift their maiden IPL title in the history of the tournament.

Initially, De Villiers backed his ex-IPL franchise for their brilliant run of form in the ongoing 18th edition of the tournament. Furthermore, he went on to the extent of making a special promise to the RCB fans, with a special mention to his long-time RCB teammate and legendary India batter, Virat Kohli.

“Mark my words, If RCB makes it to the final, I’ll be there at the stadium. Nothing will give me more pleasure than to lift that trophy with Virat Kohli. I’ve tried that for many, many years,” said De Villiers, which is now resurfacing on social media.

Earlier, De Villiers had been in the headlines for his constant love and support for the former RCB skipper and the modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli. He also spoke about the moment when they met each other for the first time.

“Virat is like one of my cricketing brothers, someone I really grew fond of when I got to know him better. He’s an absolute pain to play against, so before I knew him, I didn’t like him a lot because he was so good and so competitive, very similar to me with that competitive nature,” said the former South African legend.

Speaking of RCB, they are currently placed in the second spot on the tournament standings in the ongoing IPL 2025, with 8 wins and three defeats in their 11 games, having 16 points. They are expected to reach the table’s top if their game against KKR gets washed out.
