Star India wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul delivered brilliant stuff behind the wickets during his stint in India’s campaign opener against Bangladesh in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. He grabbed 3 crucial catches behind the wickets to help India bundle out Bangladesh at the score of 228 runs in 49.4 overs
Later, KL Rahul also won India’s ‘Best Fielder’ award for his amazing efforts on the field during the first innings of the game. In the post-match event in the Indian dressing room, the initiative that was started during ODI World Cup 2023 to felicitate the best fielder.

Besides his amazing wicketkeeping, KL Rahul also played a crucial and decisive unbeaten knock of 41 runs off 47 balls, with one four and two sixes. He also stitched an unbeaten partnership of 87 runs with Shubman Gill to help India easily chase down the target and win the game by 6 wickets. He also smashed the winning six to seal the win for India in their opening game of the ongoing prestigious cricket quadrennial.
Speaking of the action of the game, Bangladesh batted first after winning the toss and scored 228 runs in 49.4 overs courtesy of Towhid Hridoy’s brilliant century; he scored 100 runs off 118 balls, with six fours and two sixes. Besides him, Jaker also scored 68 runs to take his side post 200+ team total.
While chasing the target, India crossed the line in 46.3 overs and won the game by 6 wickets, scoring 231 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Now, the Men in Blue will be in action in the high-octane clash against the arch-rivals and the defending champions Pakistan on February 23, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
