Team India is getting ready to kick off their Champions Trophy 2025 tournament with the first game against Bangladesh on Thursday. Ahead of the tournament, the Men in Blue were part of the official photoshoot for the event. Ravindra Jadeja began his banter with skipper Rohit Sharma when he asked “How many ICC media days have you appeared in?”
To which Rohit replied with a smile on his face “17”. It is to be noted that Rohit has been part of ICC events since 2007 as he was part of the team that won the inaugural T20 World Cup. The 37-year-old most recently led India to World Cup glory in June last year against South Africa to win the T20 world title.

Rohit Sharma has played nine T20 World Cups, along with three ODI World Cups. He has also appeared in two World Test Championships finals, and this is his third Champions Trophy tournament. As a captain Rohit has led his side to the finals of WTC in 2023 and ODI World Cup the same year and lost to Australia on both occasions.
Michael Clarke backs Rohit Sharma to shine in CT25
Former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke has backed Indian skipper Rohit Sharma to do well in the upcoming eight-nation tournament. The 2015 ODI World Cup-winning skipper was recently a guest on the Beyond 23 cricket podcast show. Clarke also backed India to win the upcoming tournament.
Clarke said “Well, I am saying India is going to win Champions Trophy. I am going to go with their captain, who’s back in form. I am going to say, Rohit Sharma, is the leading run-scorer in the tournament It’s good to see him making runs again. I think India need him for sure,”
When asked to name the leading wicket-taker for the tournament, the former Aussie skipper said “I want to go with Jofra Archer—leading wicket-taker. I know England; I am not expecting them to do that well, but I think he’s a superstar. I think Jofra is going to be really hard to play. So, I am going to have him as my leading wicket-taker”
