The veteran DC wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul displayed a sensational batting performance in the last game against RCB at his home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. KL Rahul’s match-winning and blistering 93-run knock helped DC beat RCB by a big margin of 6 wickets to remain unbeaten in the tournament’s current edition.

The video also went viral on social media as soon as it was shared on X (formerly Twitter). Subsequently, KL Rahul also revealed the inspiration behind his animated celebration at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, which is also his home ground since childhood.

“This is a special place for me. The celebration was from one of my favourite movies Kantara. So yeah, just a tiny reminder that this ground, this home, this turf is where I have grown up and this is mine,” said KL Rahul in a video shared by Delhi Capitals on their official X handle.

Speaking of the action of the game between RCB and DC in Bengaluru, the visiting skipper KL Rahul won the toss and asked RCB to bat first. Batting first, the hosts posted a score of 163 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Phil Salt and Tim David contributed the knock of 37 runs each off just 17 and 20 balls, respectively.

Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav scalped 2 wickets each for DC, alongside a wicket each bagged by Mukesh Kumar and Mohit Sharma.

While chasing the target, DC comfortably crossed the line in 17.5 overs, scoring 169 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 17.5 overs and won the game by 6 wickets.
