The veteran India wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul is set to be in action for his new franchise, Delhi Capital,s in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League. He was roped in by the franchise for a big amount of INR 12 crores in the IPL 2025 mega-auction before the 18th edition of the tournament.

Meanwhile, KL Rahul caught the eyeballs for a hilarious moment at an event organized by Delhi Capitals ahead of their next clash against Punjab Kings (PBKS). The veteran batter was seen stealing the show when he hilariously mimicked the former DC batter and now their mentor, Kevin Pietersen and the veteran batter Faf du Plessis.

KL Rahul’s mimicry also drew amazing and hilarious reactions from both Pietersen and Du Plessis. The video of this moment also started making rounds on social media as soon as it was shared by the Delhi Capitals on their official X handle (formerly Twitter).

KL Rahul is expected to be seen in action for the Delhi Capitals in the coming few games; he was not a part of the playing XI in the campaign opener against his previous franchise, Lucknow Super Giants, on Monday, March 24.

Notably, DC are currently placed in the fourth spot on the tournament standings, after a narrow 1-wicket win against the Lucknow Super Giants in their campaign opener. They will face SRH in the second game of their ongoing IPL 2025 campaign. The game will be played at the YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 30.

Delhi Capitals are playing under the captaincy of the newly appointed skipper Axar Patel in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025. The decision was taken by the franchise just a few days before the start of the current season. DC released their former skipper Rishabh Pant before the IPL 2025 mega-auction and he was bought by LSG for a whopping amount of INR 27 crores.
