SRH vs DC: Kavya Maran reaction to Vipraj Nigam run-out (Photograph: X)
Delhi Capitals (DC) saw their batting crumble in the IPL 2025 game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Monday night. At one stage, the visitors were 26 for four after the end of six overs. SRH owner Kavya was elated seeing her team dominate the opposition on the field in a must win game to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The first ball of the 13th saw Tristan Stubbs play the ball on to the leg side and complete a quick single. The South African batter was quick to go back for a second run but Vipraj Nigam hadn’t made a move. Aniket Verma threw the ball towards the bowler’s end as Zeeshan Ansari took off the bails. Vipraj Nigam was out as Stubbs had crossed him and headed back to the dugout after scoring 18 runs from 17 balls.
Cameras panned towards Kavya Maran who seemed enjoying the capitulation that DC team was suffering. Delhi Capitals were asked to bat first after SRH won the toss. Both sides made changes to their side. Natarajan got his first start of the season while Abhinav Manohar and Sachin Baby came in for SRH.
Pat Cummins delivered with the ball taking 3 for 12 from the first three overs. The Aussie and SRH skipper got the wickets of Karun Nair, Faf du Plessis, and Abhishek Porel to leave Delhi struggling in the early part of the game. Cummins then took a difficult catch to dismiss DC skipper Axar Patel in the fifth ball of the sixth over bowled by Harshal Patel.
KL Rahul was out for 10 when Jaydev Unadkat produced a brilliant ball to dismiss the batter caught by Ishan Kishan. Delhi finally showed some fight as Ashutosh Sharma and Tristan Stubbs scored 41 runs each, Sharma scored his 41 off just 26 balls with the help of two fours and three sixes. Stubbs was not out on 41 off 37 balls with four boundaries as Delhi ended their innings on 133 for the loss of seven wickets.
