Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowlers had a tough time on the park in the IPL 2025 game against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad. Pat Cummins’ decision to bowl first after winning the toss came back to haunt his side as the Titans’ batters were seen batting with aggressive intent. Former England skipper Jos Buttler who scored an unbeaten 25-ball 50 in the last game showed his amazing touch with the bat on Friday.
In the third ball of the 10th over that was bowled by Mohammed Shami, the English batter made his way outside the off-stump. Buttler was quick to bring out the scoop shot and hit over the fine=leg region for a six. The mere effortless nature of the shot had the commentators marveling the mastery behind the shot.
Gujarat Titans got off to a great start and were scoring nearly 14 runs per over during the powerplay overs. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill were at their imperious best with the bat as they attacked the SRH bowlers once they for their eye in. Shami was at the receiving end of a classy flick shot for six off Shubman Gill’s bat in the opening over of the game.

Just when it seemed like Gill was set for a century, the 25-year-old was run-out in the final ball of the 13th over. Harshal Patel’s throw caught Gill short of his crease as Klaasen’s quick work behind the stumps helped SRH get their man. Gill was out after scoring 76 off 38 balls with 10 boundaries and two sixes.
