The young CSK debutant Ayush Mhatre’s dream came true when he met his idol and MI batting stalwart, Rohit Sharma, after the game between MI and CSK. Rohit was seen patting and applauding Mhatre on meeting him. Notably, Mhatre had already played in the Mumbai Ranji team alongside Rohit Sharma.

Ayush Mhatre starts his IPL career with an impressive knock
Speaking of Ayush Mhatre’s performance for CSK against MI on his IPL debut, he impressed everyone with his blistering knock of 32 runs off just 15 balls, with 4 fours and two sixes. His knock also helped CSK to get some quick runs at the beginning of the innings and post the decent total of 176 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Later in the second innings, Rohit Sharma and star MI batter Suryakumar Yadav led the successful run-chase for MI and smashed the match-winning half-centuries. Rohit ended up with an unbeaten knock of 76 runs off just 45 balls, with 4 fours and six sixes, alongside SKY’s 68 runs off just 30 balls, with six fours and five sixes.
These knocks helped Mumbai to score 177 runs for the loss of only 1 wicket in just 15.4 overs and chase down the target, comfortably winning the game by a massive margin of 9 wickets. With this win, MI have also moved to the sixth spot in the tournament’s points table, with three consecutive wins in the last three games.
They will now face the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 41st game of the tournament, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday, April 23.
