Jasprit Bumrah cleaned up Mushfiqur Rah

Jasprit Bumrah did the star turn with the ball to give India their last wicket on the final day of the Kanpur Test. The right-arm seamer dismissed veteran Bangladeshi star Mushfiqur Rahim for 37 and broke the last wicket stand of 16 runs. It was also the last ball before lunch as the extended session came into play.

Khaled Ahmed had taken a single in the penultimate ball of the 47th over to give Rahim the strike. Bumrah bowled a slower ball as the batter went for a wild swipe. The ball sneaked in between the bat and pad and uprooted the middle stump. Bangladesh were bowled out for 146 to give India a target of 95 to win in two sessions of play.

The visitors started the day with the score reading 26/2 as Shadman Islam and Mominul Haque batted. The latter had scored a terrific ton in the first innings to help Bangladesh score 233 on the board. India in their reply had scored 285/8 from 34.4 overs to take an overall lead of 52 runs.

Litton Das went for a cut only to be caught Pant off Jadeja for 1. Shakib Al Hasan gave an easy return catch to Jadeja for a duck.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz joined Rahim as the pair added 24 runs for the 8th wicket. Bumrah dismissed the Bangladeshi spinner for the 2nd time in the game caught by Pant for 9.
